He says things like this:

"What I’m saying is that your responsibility is to use your brain, not appeal to star power. If you want to improve, you have to think and understand for yourself. If Doyle says, 'Raise with suited connectors,' and if that’s a new idea for you, great. Run with it. Think about when raising with suited connectors would be good and when it wouldn’t. Come up with example hands. Try it out while you play and see what happens. Treat the advice as inspiration for your own analysis, not gospel to be dogmatically repeated."
