The Future of Poker: Ed Miller's Thoughts

What is the future of poker? Where is poker headed? Will poker be illegal in the United States? Will Internet poker become legal everywhere? What's in store for poker?

Ed Miller answers this question at Internet Texas Hold'Em. In the Ask An Expert series, Miller says,

"...people will always play poker. It's a game deeply rooted in American culture...I think live cash games will always be profitable..."

But he doesn't sound so optimistic about Internet poker:

"I don't know about online poker. It could be booming in 5 years, or it could be mostly busted, and I really am not sure which."

When it comes to what he thinks about the types of games he says,

"No limit is obviously king of the hill right now, and I don't see that changing in the next five years or so..."
